Offer-round statistics: what we share
Last updated September 28, 2026
BindingOffers publishes statistics about offer rounds, like how many offers homes get and how far accepted offers land above or below list price. They show what offer rounds do for sellers. This page explains exactly what is shared, where, and what never is.
What we publish
Group totals for an area (a ZIP code or a metropolitan area), over the last 90 days:
- How many offer rounds were completed
- The average number of offers per round
- How far accepted offers landed above or below list price, as a median percentage
- How often offers used automatic raises
Averages are rounded to one decimal place and percentages to whole numbers.
What is never shared
Nothing about any single listing, offer, agent, brokerage, buyer or seller. That means no names, email addresses, phone numbers, property addresses, MLS numbers, the price of any single deal, or internal record numbers. Results for an individual agent or brokerage are never published.
When an area is left out
We only publish an area when its numbers can't be traced back to anyone:
- A ZIP code needs at least 10 completed rounds in the period, and a metropolitan area at least 30.
- If one listing agent or one brokerage ran more than half of an area's rounds, the area is left out, because its numbers would effectively describe that agent's deals.
Demo, test and cancelled rounds, and rounds without a list price, are never counted.
Where the statistics appear
First in the BindingOffers Offer Round Report. At least a week later, the same group totals may also appear on affiliated websites: websites under the same ownership as BindingOffers LLC, such as OfferBacked.com, a website for home buyers. They receive only these group totals. No personal information is ever sent to an affiliated website, and nothing is sent back from one.
