Methodology

An open online survey of real estate agents, promoted in agent communities. Responses are anonymous and self-reported, and respondents choose to take part, so the results describe the agents who answered, not every agent. We ask each respondent for their state so we can check the spread. Hours are capped at 200 per listing when averaging, to keep a single mistyped answer from moving the result; we also report the median. Results publish once 100 responses are in, and update live after that.
